(Balls provided) This week, we focus on using birth balls to ease discomfort, prepare for labor, and strengthen your body. Suitable for all stages of pregnancy, this session provides a gentle yet effective workout tailored to your needs. Using a birth ball during pregnancy offers numerous benefits, including reducing discomfort by alleviating lower back and pelvic pain and easing tension in the hips, sides, and shoulders. It prepares you for labor by opening the pelvis, helping to dilate the cervix, and strengthening pelvic floor muscles. Additionally, it enhances flexibility and strength, improves core stability, strengthens glutes, hamstrings, and quads, and tones inner thighs. The birth ball also promotes relaxation by encouraging proper posture, enhancing breathing techniques, and reducing stress and anxiety. Lastly, it supports an active birth by facilitating optimal fetal positioning, providing comfort during contractions, and aiding in natural pain relief.
